Karlee Squires is a Canadian born triple threat. Karlee grew up singing and dancing around the backroads of Alberta working on her grandparent’s farm. After obtaining a BFA in Musical Theatre from AMDA (LA/NY), she booked her first professional play three days out of college, and has been unstoppable since. She’s performed in Edmonton, New York, Los Angeles, and on the high seas with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Karlee enjoys the challenge of a new environment, to develop her skills and leadership potential. At Costco Wholesale, she is a class 1, 4, 5, & 8 forklift operator trainer, representative for both the Safety Committee (Secretary) and Journeys Leadership team.
From picking up a script to performing on the stage and screen or getting to run a warehouse and creatively market merchandise, Karlee loves learning about people and the ever evolving business industry.
Karlee's first full musical was during high school, performing in the The Wizard of Oz where she found her niche as an overly enthusiastic apple throwing tree. The next year, she took the starring role as Marian the librarian in The Music Man confirming her love for classic musical theatre. Karlee trained in New York and Los Angeles, attending singing, acting, and dance classes from some of the top teachers in the industry. 2017-2019 she spent time working on new musicals in Los Angeles, then the following year, travelling and performing abroad as Lead Vocalist and Vocal Captain on board Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Empress of the Seas. In 2023, she performed back home in Edmonton at the Citadel Theatre, in Jersey Boys, as the Female Swing.
Karlee is currently performing as Judy Haynes in White Christmas, with Nuova Vocal Arts at Fort Edmonton's Capital Theater & in the Grindstone's Rocky Horror Show as Columbia at the Orange Hub.
